A large
number of school clubs are available for
students to join. Please see the ASB Advisor in
the ASB room for more details regarding the
clubs and academic teams that might be of
interest to you. The following list includes
some of the Bell Junior High clubs.

Anime
The anime club is
an organization of when a group of students
comes together to appreciate the Japanese
culture by learning the different types of facts
about them. For example, in this organization
you are able to learn about different types of
anime and be able to participate in the
interesting activities the Japanese culture has
to offer.
What is anime?
Anime is a Japanese version of animation. Anime
characters and comics are usually drawn and
written by a single author. Unlike other comics
are written by numerous authors. They also have
many different characters with numerous plots.
In anime comics the characters are consistent
and tend to develop throughout the series.
What is the
purpose of anime club?
The purpose of this organization is mostly to
have fun and learn cultural facts of the
Japanese culture. For fun, the club advisor would have the
members watch different type of Japanese movies.
They would also learn the different types of
characters in the Japanese writing.
How to join
To join the Anime Club you need to fill out an
application. In your application, you must have
your teachers give your academic grade and your
citizenship. The meetings are usually held every
other Wednesday.
Where does
the money go?
There is no membership fee. But the anime club
does try to raise money by having Video game
tournaments. With the money they raise, they
would use to buy new games and systems for the
students.
Any field trips?
The Anime Club joined the International/FEA Club
to Disneyland. Students also visit the
International Comic Convention in San Diego.
