Nursing Services
School Nurse
Bell
Middle School is fortunate to have a full-time nurse available
daily. The school nurse has developed a program of health
services that includes screening tests and examinations.
The nurse cares for students who become ill or injured.
Students must have a pass to go to the health office except
in emergency situations. A pass is not required during
lunch, or before or after school.
Medication
Prescription and
non-prescription medication must be brought to
the health office in the original container with
a note from the doctor and parent requesting the
directions be followed as prescribed. All
medication must be taken in the health office
and may not be kept on the student. This applies
to all medication, even if the medicine is
required for one day only.
Student Assistance Program
The Student
Assistance Program (SAP) provides help to
students troubled by alcohol, tobacco, or other
drug use, and assists with physical,
psychological, social, medical, or family issues
and concerns. The program provides students with
the opportunity to deal with their feelings in a
safe and caring environment. Members meet on a
regular basis. If you are interested in being
referred to this program, please see the school
nurse.
