Bell Student Advisory Council (BSAC)
The vision of the Bell Student Advisory Council
is to develop a consistent, school-wide plan
towards improving Bell's climate of school
spirit and open communication. The council is
open to any student who wishes to have a voice
in the site decision making process of fostering
lines of open communication with all Bell
community members, be it students, staff,
parents, and the community at large.
Dances
School dances are scheduled several times
throughout the school year. These are fun events
that offer entertainment and refreshments. The
dances are held in the auditorium after school
from 2 p.m. until 3:20 p.m. In order to attend a
dance a student must have a 2.0 grade-point
average and have received no "N's" or "U's" on
the most recent report card or progress report.
The following rules are in affect at all
school-sponsored dances:
-
Only Bell students can attend. No outside
visitors/guests are allowed.
-
Be inside the gate by 2 p.m., unless you have
a note from your teacher.
-
Wear your wristband at all times. (If you
have not received one, present your school photo
ID card and receipt to assigned staff.)
-
Shoes must be worn at all times.
-
Once you leave the dance, you may not be
re-admitted.
-
Inappropriate dancing is not allowed. (Students
must be six inches apart from all people on the
dance floor; dance face-to-face; and may not lie
down on the dance floor.)
Student Photo Identification Cards
Every student will have a photo taken for a
Student Identification Card at no charge. These
cards must be carried at all times for
identification purposes. These cards are
required to make financial transactions at the
financial office, to borrow books from the
library, to utilize computers; to vote in school
elections; and to gain entry to all dances. A
replacement ID card can be purchased for $5 at
the financial office.
Financial Services
The financial clerk sells yearbooks and accepts
payments for lost, damaged, or stolen books and
library fines. Students must come to school
prepared with the correct change to make
financial transactions. The financial office has
limited time and monies available to make change
for students. School indebtedness will affect a
student's eligibility to participate in school
and athletics and will prevent ninth graders
from participating in promotion.
