Students are
graded on the points that they accumulate throughout each semester. These
points are based on their academic performance and in-class participation. I use a computerized grading
program (Zangle Gradebook) with the following general scale:
90 to 100% = A
80 to 89% = B
70
to 79% = C
60 to 69% = D
59% and below = Fail
Parent/Teacher
Communication
It
is important for students to realize that school and home are a team. Parents,
please let me know if you would like to schedule a conference. The best way to reach me is by email .
I check my messages several times each day and nearly always respond the same
day if the email reaches me before the end of the school day. You may also
leave a phone message during the school day at (619) 479-7111 ext. 4124, but
that method is less reliable.
Some
ways in which parents may hear from me include: email, notes sent home via your
student, phone call, or messages in the student's Planner.
