Reader's Workshop:
We will explore the features on non-fiction to help us learn to pull out real facts.
Word Study:
We will begin to build our bank of sight words and short vowel word families as well as review consonant and short vowel sounds. This will help us to become stronger readers and writers.
Handwriting:
We will focus on the correct formation of lower case letters and when to use them in our writing.
Writer's Workshop:
We will begin to communicate information about ourselves by learning to write friendly letters and personal narratives.
Math:
We develop our sense of numbers and their value and learn how to group numbers together to find the total.
Science:
We will begin a study of air and weather.
Social Studies:
We will study families, neighborhoods and communities. |
