The board voted 5-0 to adopt the 2002-03 Tentative Budget in the State Required Format J-200. (E.2.a)

The board voted 4-1, with Zimmerman voting no, to adjust, effective July 1, 2000, the Operations-Support Services Salary Schedule (Deficit Reduction Funds). (E.3.d)

The board voted 5-0 to adjust, effective July 1, 2002, the Operations Support Services Salary Schedule. (Rate 1.36%, adjustment) (E.3.e)

The board voted 5-0 for the adoption of the Agreement between the San Diego Unified School District and the California School Employees Association, Chapter 788, as the exclusive representative of the Office-Technical and Business Services (OTBS) bargaining unit on the disbursement of the remaining .092% Deficit Reduction Funds from 2000-01, the 1.36% COLA for 2001-01, and the .05% Revenue Limit Equalization Aid for 2001-02, in accordance with Section 3547.5 of the California Education Code and Section 1029 of the Bylaws of the Board of Education. The board voted 5-0 to approve the Equity in Student Placement Oversight Committee Report on Student Suspensions and Staff Response to the Equity Committee Report. (E.4.g)

The board voted 3-2, with Zimmerman and de Beck voting no, for the proposal to enter into a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement among the City of San Diego, Housing Authority of the City of San Diego, Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Diego, and the San Diego Unified School District for the purpose of creating the San Diego Model School Development Agency. The board voted 5-0 to approve the interim Status Report Concerning the Operations of the District Advisory Council and School Site Councils. (E.7.a)
