The Board of Education made the following appointment 4-0, with Ottinger out of room during the vote, and with effective date to be determined:

The board voted 5-0 for the resolution in the Matter of the Recognition of William Lynch on March 25, 2003. (C.1)

The board voted 5-0 for the resolution in the Matter of the Recognition of March 31, 2003, as Cesar E. Chavez Day. (C.2)

The board voted 4-1, with Zimmerman voting no, for the Healthy Choice Beverage Program. (E.1.a)

The board voted 5-0 for the Food Services "Kids Choice Menu" update. (E.1.b)

The board voted 4-0, with Ottinger out of the room during the vote, for the report on Basic Financial Statements and Supplementary Information, June 30, 2002 (With Independent Auditor's Report Thereon) and District Response. (E.2.b)

The board voted 3-1, with Zimmerman voting no and Ottinger out of the room during the vote, for the Bird Rock Elementary School Boundary Change, including de Beck's suggested changes, except for removing Bird Rock as an option in the first paragraph. (E.5.c)

The board voted 5-0 for the authorization to commence with the appraisal process, relocation plan, and/or other related procedures to acquire the property for proposed Burbank Elementary School. (E.6.k)

The board voted 5-0 for the resolution in the Matter of Intention to Offer an Option to Lease and to Lease Real Property Belonging to the San Diego Unified School District and Notice Inviting Lease of Same (former Maintenance Facility site located at Commercial Street and Irving Avenue). The board agreed future action regarding use of the property would require a 4-1 majority vote. (E.6.n)

The board voted 4-0, with Ottinger out of the room during the vote, for the application for the Approval of the Petition and Charter for the KIPP Adelante Preparatory Academy. (E.9.c)
