The Board of Education made the following appointments 5-0, with effective dates to be determined:

BRADY, Annette - from Vice Principal, Grant Elementary School to Principal, Jones Elementary School.

GRISIER, Charles - from Vice Principal, MacDowell Elementary School to Principal, Whitman Elementary School.

MORAN, Sheelagh - from Vice Principal, Challenger Middle School to Principal, Perry Elementary School.

ROBLES, Sandra - from Community Relations Program Assistant to Manager, Enrollment Options Office.

The Board of Education made the following appointment 3-2, with Zimmerman and de Beck voting no, and with effective dates to be determined:

KENDA, Allison - from Interim Literacy Administrator, MacDowell Elementary School to Literacy Administrator, Gompers Secondary.

KLEIN, Harlan - from Program Specialist/Administrative Intern, Chavez Elementary School to Principal, Toler Elementary School.

MARKS, Melanie - from Staff Developer, Gompers Secondary, to Literacy Administrator, Clairemont High School.

McCLURE-LOTT, Diane - from Staff Developer, School of Creative and Performing Arts, to Literacy Administrator, Bell Junior High School.

VanBENTHUYSEN, Virginia - from Resource Teacher, Literacy Department, to Literacy Administrator, Pacific Beach Middle School.

Major agenda items included:

The board voted 4-1, with Zimmerman voting no, for the Proposed New Board Policy D-6300 and Authorization to Commence Proposal Evaluations and Negotiation of a Five-Year Exclusive Districtwide Carbonated and Non-Carbonated Vending and Sales Contract. (E.1.a)

The board voted 5-0 for the application for approval of the amended petition and charter for the San Diego Cooperative Charter School. (E.9.a)

The board voted 5-0 for the adoption of the Tentative Agreement between the San Diego Unified School District and the California School Employees Association, Chapter 788, as the exclusive representative of the Office-Technical Business Services bargaining unit on the 2003-04 through 2005-06, Collective Bargaining Agreement, in accordance with Section 3547.5 of the California Government Code and Section 1029 of the Bylaws of the Board of Education. (E.10.c)

The board held a first reading of the Recommended Plans for Reapportionment of Trustee Districts. (G.2) The matter will return and the board will take action at the next board meeting, July 22, 2003.
