The Board of Education made the following appointment 5-0, with effective dates to be determined:

HILLEGAS, Glenn - from Director, Stanley E. Foster Construction Tech Academy, to Principal, Stanley E. Foster Construction Tech Academy, Office of Instructional Support.

PHILLIPS, Mildred - from Principal, Youth Opportunities Unlimited/City as School, to Principal, San Diego Metropolitan Regional Career and Technical High School, Office of Instructional Support.

Major agenda items included:

The board voted 5-0 for the resolution authorizing and directing the issuance and sale of General Obligation Bonds of the San Diego Unified School District; approving the form and authorizing distribution of an official statement describing the Bonds; approving forms of and authorizing execution and delivery of a Bond Purchase Contract, a Paying Agent Agreement, Letters of Escrow Instructions, and a Continuing Disclosure Certificate; and delegating to the Chief Financial Officer or his designee authorization to take necessary actions and prepare, execute and deliver necessary documents. (E.4.b)

The board voted 5-0 for the termination of Permit Agreement C-7167 between the San Diego Unified School District and Sprint PCS for the installation of cell phone antenna equipment at Point Loma High School. (E.5.e)

The board voted 5-0 for the proposal for Adoption of Textbooks and Instructional Materials for the 2004-2005 School Year. (E.6.g)

The board voted 5-0 for the Annual Instructional Facilities Planning Report for 2004-2005. (E.6.h)

The board voted 2-2, with Zimmerman and de Beck voting no and with Lopez abstaining due to personal conflict of interest, for the Proposal for Assignment of Cleveland Elementary School. (E.6.j) (The item failed to pass.)

The board voted 5-0 for the Update on Implementation Plan of Public School Choice under the No Child Left Behind Act. (E.7)
