The board made the following appointments 5-0, with effective dates to be determined:

Todd Irving – from Co-Principal, East Palo Alto High School (a Stanford Schools Corporation Charter School), to Co-Principal, Morse High School, Office of the Superintendent.

William Kowba – from Commander, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, United States Navy, San Diego, to Chief Financial Officer, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer.

Susan Martinez – from Statewide Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) Project Coordinator, to Program Manager, Special Education (Transdisciplinary Services Team), Special Education Division, Office of the Deputy Superintendent.

Major agenda items included the following:

The board voted 5-0 to approve the revocation of A. Phillip Randolph Leadership Academy charter.

The board voted 4-1, with Lee voting no, to approve a non-exclusive license agreement between the San Diego Unified School District and Momentum Middle School to use the District’s facilities located at 6365 Lake Atlin Avenue, San Diego, CA 92119, (former Cleveland Elementary School site).

The board voted 5-0 for the approval of the proposed Ethics Code.
