Gift Cards available at De Portola
The Foundation offers a variety of gift cards to students and parents, all of which earn money for the school. Unlike most fundraisers, families are not asked to spend any additional money. When you buy a gift card for $100, you receive the full $100 value. All you are asked to do is adjust the way you shop by using gift cards instead of cash, checks, etc.
These make great birthday, holiday and teacher appreciation gifts. If you're already spending a small fortune at places like Starbucks, Nordstrom or CPK, then help the school by purchasing some cards for yourself. Support our school by participating in the De Portola Middle School Foundation’s eScrip program. eScrip is a unique and easy fundraising program... there is no cost to participate and the potential to generate funds for our school is great.

What is the Foundation?
The DePortola Foundation was established in 1996 and is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization whose primary function is raising the much-needed funds to assist students, teachers and school organizations.
During the last four years, the Foundation has raised over $148,000 to fund the teachers' technology needs, including the purchase of a computer lab for the library and document cameras for the classrooms, as well as interactive whiteboards and laptops to support instruction.
Who can join the Foundation?
Everyone is welcome to join the Foundation... parents and guardians, teachers and staff, community members and businesses.
How are PTA and Foundation connected? Can I join both?
We hope you do join both! Our wonderful PTA provides funds for activities the school budget cannot cover, including student agendas (planners), field trips, clubs, Honor Roll and teacher recognition, and much more.
The Foundation raises money through activities, the Annual Dinner/Dance Auction, our membership drive, and our eScrip/Albertson's/Vons card programs to purchase such items as the computer lab, technology in the classrooms, and other capital improvements needed by the school.
Together, the PTA and the Foundation support DePortola teachers and staff in their efforts to ensure the success of every student's education. You are part of this support team with your membership and involvement in both the Foundation and PTA.
Our 2009-2010 Goal
Thanks to the generosity of parents, teachers, staff and corporate donors, this year the DP Foundation will work to raise more than $50,000 for De Portola. In addition, we'll work to raise awareness, support our wonderful faculty/staff and build community along the way.
When does the Foundation meet?
The De Portola Foundation meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Staff Lounge. If you're looking for a way to get involved and help our school, we would love to meet you! We have lots of volunteer opportunities available in the Foundation... no experience necessary. Please join us!
