PTA Meetings

PTA Meetings are held on the 1st Monday of each month in the Staff Lounge.


2009-2010 Minimum Days

The following Thursdays are Minimum Days and students will be dismissed at 1:07 p.m.:

October 8
November 5
January 21
February 25
March 25
April 22
May 6
May 20
June 21

2009-2010 District School Calendar... look for those 3-day weekends, Winter break and Spring break so you can plan ahead.

Assignment/Agenda Book

During registration, every DPMS student receivesd an Assignment/Agenda Book. This important organizational tool is made possible by the ASB with the support of the PTA and donations from parents. Envelopes are provided for your $8 donation. 


P.E. Uniforms

$22 for uniform (shirt and shorts)... purchased separately, shorts $12 and shirt $10... combination locks available for $4.00. Uniforms and locks are available for purchase at the Student Store or at the DP Web Store.


ASB Annual Magazine Drive

Parents and family can still support our school throughout the year by ordering/re-ordering their magazine subscriptions on-line at Reading at Home.  All publisher special coupons are honored.  De Portola earns approximately 40% net profit on all magazines sold. The profits are used to fund school programs and student activities.

Do you have an interest in helping the school and supporting our children? VOLUNTEER! There are lots of volunteer opportunities at de Portola. For further information, please contact the Parent Volunteer Coordinator at 858-496-8080 (Extension 325).


PTA Membership... The "P" in PTA is you... the parent!

No volunteering required... no meetings required!

Your membership makes a difference for all students at de Portola Middle School. The cost is $10 for an individual membership, $20 for a family membership. Parents, teachers, students, friends, neighbors and relatives may join. Envelopes can be obtained in the school office. Please call us if you have any question

Box Tops News  

  • Collection cans are in the office and Core classrooms.
  • Be sure your student's name is on the back of each Box Top for the monthly prize drawing during "Chill on the Hill" (Baskin & Robbins ice cream, lunch line passes, Blockbuster Video gift cards).
