Overview
No
employee may—directly or indirectly—supervise, hire, promote,
or advocate for hiring or promoting a relative or domestic partner.
Relatives
are defined as spouse, domestic partner, mother, father, brother, sister,
grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law,
aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, stepmother, stepfather, court-appointed
legal guardian or any relative living in the immediate household of
the employee.
This applies
to all assignments, including substitute and temporary assignments
that last more than a few days. If you are uncertain about a particular
situation, ask your supervisor, manager, Human Resources or the Ethics
Office.
