A Brief History
The District's QuickMail and Netscape Calendar systems were replaced
in 2004 with Microsoft Exchange, which is commonly accessed by employees
via OWA, or Outlook Web Access.

2004
Began
installation of new hardware and architecture to support 20,000
email and calendaring users.
September 2004
Completed
testing of new hardware architecture.
October 2004
Migrated
Outlook pilot user accounts to the new hardware architecture.
November 2004
Began
user self-registration for new Outlook Web Access email accounts.
Began weekly training sessions in Ed Center Auditorium.
January 2005
Completed
Outlook Web Access self-registration.
January 31, 2005
Old
email system (QuickMail) retired.
