Green Academics and Athletics Magnet is recognized throughout the city and state as an outstanding K-5 program offering vigorous physical activity that develops students’ fitness, gross motor skills, athletic GK-5 program offering vigorous physical activity that develops students’ fitness, gross motor skills, athletic abilities, social behavior, coordination, strength, and flexibility. Gymnastics, track and field, swimming, and team sports provide unique opportunities to build individual pride in accomplishments, along with good sportsmanship and team spirit. The enriching academic day is tailored to meet the individual needs of all students — providing them with a diverse and rigorous course of study in literacy, math, science, history, and the arts. Technology is integrated daily into every classroom through the use of computers, digital cameras, and camcorders, and the arts are developed through choral and instrumental music instruction two days per week.

Our commitment to physical education seeks to foster in students an understanding and application of what it means to live a healthy lifestyle through nutrition, health and physical fitness. We believe in emphasizing both academics and athletics we foster a fully developed child, body and mind, able to compete in an increasingly globalized society.
