Mission Statement

In order to thrive in a global society, Language Academy students will become bi-literate and bicultural through the implementation of a California standards-based, multi-cultural curriculum. Progress towards this goal will be monitored via on-going assessments which evidence critical thinking in two languages. The school community will provide appropriate and early interventions for student’s not yet meeting proficiency.

The Language Academy offers students the unique opportunity to become bilingual in either French or Spanish and English.

Located near San Diego State University, the Language Academy is a multi-cultural school which emphasizes the importance of fluency in multiple languages. This represents a choice for families who feel that learning a second language is a vital element of today's education. This K to 8 campus has a French immersion and a Spanish/English immersion program. The focus is on making the students fully bilingual and biliterate in at least two languages by the end of the eighth grade.
