Park Center for Academics, Drama and Dance Magnet
is an exciting multidisciplinary program offering a high quality
academic curriculum enriched by four innovative Magnet studios/labs
and creative standards based instruction. In the two dance studios
students are introduced to a variety of dance styles and are given
opportunities to express themselves through creative movement,
while the theatre studios focus on teaching students acting, movement,
technical theatre and an appreciation of the theatre. For over
twenty years the theatre and dance studios/labs have been offering
this dynamic program and are now teaching children of former students.

Mission Statement
Valencia Park Elementary Center for Academics, Drama and Dance’s mission is to support the district’s concept that every child will learn to his or her maximum potential in a safe, orderly and nurturing environment.
Our goals are to:
• Provide a quality instructional program
• Maximize opportunities for students to learn
• Show academic progress in all curricular areas
• Provide high-level instruction that addresses the individual needs of all students
• Have an accountability process that focuses on high expectations and grade-level standards
• Provide opportunities for teachers administrators and parents to learn effective strategies to enhance
student success
• Continue a shared-decision making process that involves parents, teachers and administrators
SMART Goals
By July, 2009 a minimum of 47% or 192/393 of the students school-wide, including all significant
subgroups, will score proficient or above on the English Language Arts portion of the California Standards Test.
This is an increase of 10% from last year.
