Uniform/Dress Code
Golden Hill has a uniform policy. Many local state districts have successfully implemented school-wide, required uniforms in grades Pre-K through 8. The report from these schools has indicated positive results. Improvement has been noted in attendance, behavior, and above all achievement.
The Golden Hill Uniform is:
Grades: K-5
Golden Hill Green Polo Shirt or T-shirt
Khaki bottoms
Closed toe shoes with a rubber sole and socks.
Clothing should be appropriate for the learning and athletic activities of the school environment.
Grades: 6-8
School Uniform:
Golden Hill White Polo Shirt
Khaki bottoms or Dark wash denim
Closed toe shoes with rubber sole and socks.
P.E. Uniform
Golden Hill white P.E. t-shirt
Golden Hill black shorts or black sweats
Clothing and Items Not Allowed:
• Hats and bandanas are not to be worn on the school campus.
• Clothing should not be too tight or too loose. Bare midriff blouses, halter tops, spaghetti straps, short shorts/skirts and sagging pants are not appropriate.
• Comfortable shoes suitable for physical activities should be worn (no sandals, roller shoes, high heels or open toe shoes).
• No make up allowed.
• No Acrylic Nails
• Jewelry should not be distracting, no big hoop or dangling earrings.
• T-shirt slogans should not be offensive or inappropriate (no profanity, ethnic slurs).
• Hair styles and/or color should not disrupt learning.
Dress Code Procedures
If a student is out of uniform he/she will be asked to change into a borrowed Golden Hill shirt, the student will be required to return the shirt by the end of the school day.
If the student does not return borrowed clothing parents may be charged a fee to replace the Golden Hill clothing.
