Students who were approved to receive federally funded free or reduced
price meals during the last school year may continue to receive them for
a short time. You must send a new application
to SDCS-Food Services, 6735 Gifford Way-Revere
Center, San Diego, CA 92111 or to the school office immediately so that
the student’s eligibility may continue after that. After October 12th
any student whose new application has not been processed will need to
pay for meals until a determination is made. New applications for the
2006-2007 school year will become effective when the completed meal
application has been processed at the Food Services central office. For

All students
enrolled at Hearst are given a personal identification number (PIN) to
access the computer system used by the cafeteria. This account is used
like your bank ATM. You may deposit money either on-line or in person
into your child’s account by the week or month so they can purchase
breakfast, lunch or milk. The cafeteria manager accepts money every
morning in the cafeteria from 7:20 - 8:00 a.m. If you send cash, please
put it in a sealed envelope with your child’s name and room number on
it. Checks or money orders should be made out to Hearst Elementary
