THE
HEARST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PTA
The primary
purpose of PTA is to promote the welfare of children in the home,
school, and community. Our PTA sets its own goals and objectives. We
encourage all parents to join the PTA and join the effort to support our
school. Our PTA publishes annually a directory of Hearst’s family’s
phone numbers for your convenience. You’ll receive information
soon. There is a PTA box in the office that is checked frequently.
Volunteers
are needed for the various committees. If you can help, please call President
Lori Taranto at:

HEARST
FOUNDATION
The Phoebe Hearst Elementary School
Foundation is an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that was created
to generate funding to support improvements to the school. The board is
comprised of a small, dedicated group of parents. It has accomplished
the development of the two multi-use sports fields, the procurement of
multiple technological improvements such as computers for the classrooms
and a computer lab, a mobile sound system, document cameras and
multi-media projectors for all classrooms, a K-5 Choral music program
and the purchase of portable lunch tables, just to name a few.
The Foundation's signature fundraising event is the annual dinner
auction,
with other events scheduled periodically. In light of the school
district's massive budget cuts, the Foundation anticipates great need in
the coming years.
Please help to keep our school great by participating in Foundation
activities.
