Magnet Program
Knox Elementary School Academic Academy with Telecommunications Magnet offers an exciting program emphasizing reading, writing, communications and media technology that will develop the skills necessary for academic success. We focus on research and presentation skills, multimedia projects, Internet use, electronic media and on-line projects as enrichments to the curriculum, stressing the development of critical thinking and problem solving skills. We offer numerous enrichment programs including a multicultural fair, oratory contest, special assemblies and career/guest speakers.
Knox also offers:
- Broadcast and production
opportunities through a TV/video studio where students
can produce and broadcast news shows and create student
video projects
- Opportunities to develop
leaderships skills through various school
organizations
- Gifted cluster classes grades
3-6
- A student uniform policy to
enhance a positive educational climate
- Transportation for eligible
students residing outside the school bundaries
