Knox Parent Involvement Policy Parent Teacher Association Parents and teachers working together to improve student achievement. Meetings are held throughout the year to discuss relevant school issues. Call the office for meeting dates. Parent Classes The Parent Institute offers classes to parents dealing with different parenting issues. These are offered throughout the year. Parent computer educational opportunities are also offered thoughout the school year. Some of these are available through the different committees or in the MacLab. These classes help parents improve their technology literacy. Committees Parents may also become involved in the school governing committees, such as the School Site Council/Governance Team and the English Learner Advisory Committee. These committees approve the site based budget, monitor academic programs, and support student achievement.
