Students at Knox Elementary have several options for extracurricular involvement.....Student Council (Grades 3-6) Students learn about government and participate in school leadership and decision-making. Cafeteria Crew (Grades 5-6) Students work in the cafeteria one day a week, assisting adult workers. Safety Patrol (Grades 5-6) Recommended students provide safe street crossing for our resident students. S.A.V.E. - Students Against Violence Everywhere (Grades 5-6) Students work on community projects and non violence programs K.S.A.P. -Knox Student Assistant Patrol (4th grade) Students assist other students and staff in various responsibilities, such as school attendance monitors. Mentor-Buddy Program (Grades K-6) Helps students in need of support by providing a helpful relationship with an adult. Before School Reading Program - Literacy support for students in grades 2 through 6. 6 to 6 Program - Before and after school child care on campus. D.A.R.E. - Drug & Alcohol Resistance Education (Grade 6) Sponsored by San Diego Student Advocacy Program: Improving the academic achievement of African American & Latino students. (Formerly Steps of Success & LLAMA) |
