Located near San Diego State University, the Language Academy is a multi-cultural school which emphasizes the importance of fluency in multiple languages. This represents a choice for families who feel that learning a second language is a vital element of today's education. This K to 8 campus has a French immersion and a Spanish/English immersion program. The focus is on making the students fully bilingual and biliterate in at least two languages by the end of the eighth grade.

Our Mission

In order to thrive in a global society, Language Academy students will become bi-literate and bicultural through the implementation of a California standards-based, multi-cultural curriculum. Progress towards this goal will be monitored via on-going assessments which evidence critical thinking in two languages. The school community will provide appropriate and early interventions for any student not yet meeting proficiency.

Language Academy Receives Award

We are pleased to announce that the Language Academy has received the Honor Roll Award from the California Business for Education Excellence. This award is given to schools recognized by the California business community for demonstrating consistent high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time and reduction in achievement gaps among student populations.
