Course Description:
The ability to use a variety of software packages is critical to success in
school and on the job. This class is designed to apply knowledge of computer
software to a variety of computer applications. Included in this course are
applications for word processing, database, spreadsheet, charting, slide shows,

Skills
Class Rules:
1. No Food, No Drinks.
2. Be respectful to the teacher and to the other students.
3. Participation in class is mandatory.
4. All school rules will be enforced.
Consequences: Failure to follow the rules will result in detention, lower citizenship
grade, home phone call, referral, or any combination of the afore mentioned.
Grading Policy:
It is important to note that points are earned during the entire semester and
that a student's grade is based on the total points for the semester. Both students
and parents can access the student's academic progess by going to the Lincoln
Web Site as follows: http://sandi.net/Lincoln--Science & Engineerin--Staff Contact--Timothy McKinney, As shown below, grades are determined
using the weighted average of the two categories shown below.
Tests = 70%
Assignments = 30%

Tutoring Hours:
For all business classes I am usually available in the morning from 6:30-8:00,
at lunch, and after school from 3:00-4:00.
Tests: Make-up:
Excused Absence: A make-up test can be administered within a reasonable time
for full credit.
Unexcused Absence: No make-up and a failing grade for that test.
Assignments: Make-up
All assignments can be made up within each grading period for full credit.
Citizenship Grade:
Your citizenship grade is determined by your classroom behavior, truancies,
tardies, and detention not made-up. Any tardies and detention not made-up will
result in a citizenship grade of U. In addition, the table below shows your
citizenship grade according to the number of truancies.

Pass Policy:
Lincoln has no pass policy except for emergencies. Students are expected to use the restroom during the passing periods, the nutrition break, or at lunch.
