GATE - Gifted & Talented Education
A Model B Cluster is defined as having self-contained classrooms with 25% or more
students identified gifted. All Loma Portal's 3rd and 4th grade teachers are GATE certified.
Gift and Talented Education (GATE) is a California Program which provides challenging
curriculum and instruction to identified students. GATE funds are used to design and
deliver supplemental differentiated programs.
