Department of Education to Hold Public Hearing on Individuals with Disabilities Act February 4, 2005 John H. Hager, assistant secretary of the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS), U.S. Department of Education, has announced that the department will hold a public meeting in San Diego to seek input and suggestions for developing regulations based on the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004. A public meeting will be held February 11, 2005, from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM and from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at: Lindbergh Schweitzer Elementary SchoolIndividuals can register to comment at the door, on a first-come, first-served basis. Registered individuals will have two to five minutes to comment, depending on the number of individuals registered. Individuals can provide oral and written comments at the meetings; written comments that accompany oral remarks are optional.
