Pershing's Annual ASB Magazine Drive
|
October 29, 2009 Thank
you to everyone who participated in this year's ASB Magazine/Cookie
Dough Drive! It was a great success! We thank you for your support
of this vital fundraiser. The cookie dough and prizes will be
distributed on December 8th after school.
|
What is it?
Students are asked to sell magazine subscriptions and cookie dough to
people they know to raise money for the ASB at Pershing Middle School. Participation
is optional. The school coordinates the effort while
teachers and students work to sell the most items. Proceeds from
this major fundraiser fund the ASB budget.
Who
Benefits from the Money Raised?
All Pershing Middle School students, teachers, staff and parents
benefit from this event. The ASB budget funds inspirational
assemblies, science fair, student dances, field trips, and student
recognition ceremonies. Money raised through past fundraisers helped
purchase the marquee and outside lunch tables. This fundraiser supports
essential activities that strengthen student learning and the relationship
between home and school.
How Does It Work? On the first day of this
event, all students attend a school assembly where they receive a packet
of materials containing forms for magazine subscriptions and cookie dough
orders. Students can either sell magazines or cookie dough or choose to
sell both. There are student and classroom incentives for the most items
sold.
For
More Information: Please read through the material your student
receives for more details about this fundraiser and opportunity for
prizes.
Please
note, as with all fundraisers, participation is optional.
Thank you for your support of
the ASB and the
important events needed to enrich our students at Pershing Middle School.
