Recognition Events

At our first semester and "End of the Year" Recognition assemblies, we celebrate the amazing academic achievements and exemplary accomplishments of our students. We are very proud of all our students and their fine leadership abilities and academic focus and determination. We send special thank you's to our Pershing families for encouraging and motivating our students at home and also to the Pershing faculty for nurturing and expanding our students' intellect and creativity.

First Semester:  February, 2010

8th Grade Recognition Assembly
7th Grade Recognition Assembly
6th Grade Recognition Assembly
Accomplishments Recognized: Perfect Attendance, Excellence in Citizenship,
and Principal's Honor Roll (4.0 Grade Point Average)

End of the Year:  June 15, 2010
8th Grade Awards Ceremony - 7 p.m. in the Auditorium
7th Grade Awards Assembly - During Block 2
Accomplishments Recognized: Perfect Attendance, Excellence in Citizenship,
Honor Roll (3.5 Grade Point Average),
Principal's Honor Roll (4.0 Grade Point Average) and more!

The 6th Grade End of the Year Awards Assembly is usually held on the same date as the 7th and 8th grade assemblies but in 2010, the 6th grade assembly will be held on a different day due to a scheduling conflict with the second session of Pershing's 6th Grade Camp (June 14-17, 2010). A new date for the 6th graders will be announced in the fall of 2009.

Parents will be notified if their child is receiving an award.
