Fees
Fees are based on the services requested by the agency requiring you to be fingerprinted. Our normal rolling fee is $20, but that amount may vary depending on the type of application you are submitting. You may also need to pay the fees charged by the state and federal agencies doing the background screenings. Fees are payable by cash, check or money order only. For more information, please call us at (619) 725 -7015 and have your Request for Livescan Service form available.
- A Request for Livescan Service form is mandatory. That form is usually provided by the agency requiring you to be fingerprinted. Please fill out the form prior to arriving for fingerprinting.
- A government issued picture I.D., such as a driver’s license, passport, or military I.D. Other forms of identification may be accepted in accordance with Department of Justice regulations. Identification must be valid and current. If you are under the age of 18, you must also have a parent or guardian with you to sign a statement giving us permission to fingerprint you.
- Cash, check or money order for any applicable fees.
Results
Your fingerprints are transmitted by our Livescan department to the Department of Justice for the purpose of checking your background. The results are then sent from the Department of Justice directly to your agency. Unless you are an employee or volunteer of San Diego Unified School District, we do not have access to your results, nor are we authorized to request your results from the DOJ. Please contact your agency for that information.
Ink Cards
Our department provides Livescan computerized fingerprinting only. If you are required to submit ink cards, please contact us and we can refer you to agencies that are equipped to roll ink prints.
