Overview
In 1985, the San Diego Unified School District contracted with the State of California to serve pregnant and parenting teens under 18 years of age. San Diego Adolescent Pregnancy and Parenting Program's (SANDAPP) goals are to improve health outcomes for pregnant and parenting adolescents and their children; increase the rate of high school graduation; enhance parenting skills; prevent child abuse, neglect and family violence; promote youth development; and assist to postpone subsequent unplanned pregnancies. Services are provided to both female and male teen parents.

SANDAPP is an Adolescent Family Life Program funded by the State Department of Health Services/Maternal and Child Health Branch, the California Endowment, as well as the County of San Diego and the Dept of Health and Human Services, Office of Adolescent Pregnancy. SANDAPP is a non-profit organization.

SANDAPP can provide referrals to:
  • Counseling
  • Family Planning
  • Job Training/Jobs
  • Nutritional Counseling
  • Parenting Classes
