Active Learning - Advanced Session
Description

Target Audience:  ILS-MPC IEP team members (SDC teachers, VI, SLP, OT, APE, PT, Music Therapists)

The Active Learning curriculum, originated by Dr. Lilli Nielson, is developed for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities. This curriculum incorporates unique equipment (Little Room, HOPSA dress and Support Bench), an assessment tool and observation/data collection forms. This training will briefly review the fundamental elements of Active Learning but will focus on bringing familiar participants to the next level.

Outcome: Participants with a general knowledge of Active Learning will be able to make informed decisions regarding Active Learning Equipment and become familiar with Functional Schemes Assessment and data collection.
