Target Audience: ILS/PACE Teachers, Inclusion Case Managers,
This training will provide hands-on strategies to assist team members in developing age appropriate reading and writing instruction for students with moderate to severe disabilities. Participants will learn how to select and modify meaningful text, systematically teach vocabulary and sight words, and integrate communication and comprehension skills within language arts activities. Participants will learn how to select and modify materials to insure students produce meaningful written products that build independence as well as integrate reading, communication, and technology skills within language arts activities. Participants will leave with curriculum materials and lesson plans.
