Finance 101 for Elementary School Principals
Description

Length of Class: 4 hours

Purpose: Provide elementary school principals with the basics of handling school site budgets and finances.

Intended Audience: Elementary school site Principals.

Objectives: After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Locate and use common Budget Strings for Finance and Payroll.
  • Use the district Resource Matrix,
  • Understand the School Budget Allocation Formula, including Resources, Seminar Allocation, and the Budget Workbook,
  • Read Budget Reports,
  • Understand Budget Expenditure Transfers,
  • Monitor their school's budget,
  • Locate and  work within district dates and timelines,
  • Understand and create Personnel Action Requests (PARs).
