San Diego Unified pay warrants are issued through the County Treasurer of San Diego. At the request of the County Treasurer, effective immediately, no stop payments will be placed on pay warrants lost in the mail until seven calendar days following the mailing of the pay warrant. If your pay is not directly deposited, you must wait seven calendar days before placing a stop payment on a lost warrant. Generally, a replacement check will be generated the day after the stop payment has been placed. If you wish to place a stop payment on a lost warrant, you must complete the appropriate paperwork in the Fiscal Control office, Room 3251 at the Education Center. If you wish to sign up for direct deposit, you must submit a direct deposit form to the payroll office in Room 1150 of the Education Center. Forms can be found at your site or on the district website by clicking on Departments/Payroll/ Payroll forms. Please note that it takes up to 60 days to process a direct deposit request. Employees that have recently signed up for direct deposit should check their bank balance to ensure funds were deposited to their account before accessing funds.

American Specialty Health has donated almost $15,000 in “gently used” desktop accessories. Presentation on Mental Health Assessment of the School Aged Child

Join the CSA Board of Directors
Community Service Association (CSA) is the district employees' charitable organization providing funding to nonprofit agencies throughout San Diego County. The Board of Directors is comprised of 10 members (2 Administrators, 5 Certificated, and 3 Classified staff members). There is one seat (1 Administrator) on the Board of Directors becoming vacant December 31, 2009. The term of office is expiring for two other Board of Director seats (1 Certificated and 1 Classified). The current office holders will be running for re-election, but CSA is accepting candidates for these positions as well. Office Depot Direct Connect Web Site Upgrade Coming Soon
Office Depot Direct Connect users will soon notice upgrades to the Direct Connect website, a new look and improved functionality. The new site will include added features, a streamlined design and fewer “clicks” required to find items. On every page, one can view all shopping cart items, an order subtotal, access shopping lists and begin the checkout process. Congressional Page Opportunity on Capitol Hill Congresswoman Susan Davis will select a page from the 53rd District for the upcoming 2010 spring semester, January 24-June 4, 2010. Pages serve as support staff for Members of Congress, assisting Members on the floor of the House of Representatives and disseminating legislative material around the Capitol complex. Only 72 students are chosen from a nationwide pool for each term. To qualify as a House Page, applicants must be high school juniors, at least sixteen years of age, and have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0. Pages who serve during the school year attend the House of Representatives Page School, where they continue their eleventh grade studies as well as learn about House of Representatives operations.
