Spanish 1-2
This introductory course, open to all students who wish to learn a modern world language, is intended to develop limited facility in each of the major communication skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Major emphasis is on development of the ability to speak fluently with accurate pronunciation and intonation, while fostering an appreciation of the culture.

None. Course enrollment may be limited.

Spanish 3-4 
This course is designed for students who have successfully completed Modern World Language 1-2.
It is a continuation of the introductory course and is intended to extend students’ limited facility in the major skills. Reading receives increasing attention, although continuing emphasis is placed on developing the ability to speak with fluency and accuracy. Cultural appreciation also continues to be emphasized.

Course Prerequisite/Criteria
At least a B grade or equivalent in Modern World Language 1-2 (3.0 GPA recommended) Course enrollment may be limited. *Graduation credit is given as an elective.

NOTE: Students must complete two consecutive years of the same World Language in high school for credit to be recognized in UC/CSU institutions.  Course offerings and availability are subject to change without prior notice.
