STAR Update

Dear Principals and/or STAR Site Test Coordinators (Senior High Only):
 
The EAP is a voluntary test for Grade 11 (class of 2010) students.  The testing window for the essay portion of the Early Assessment Program (EAP) is March 3-27, 2009. You should receive your testing materials by Wednesday, February 25, 2009 via truck delivery.
 
Attached are two documents to assist you during the administration of the EAP Essay:

1. Administrative Circular No. 60, Spring 2009 Districtwide Testing of the California State University (CSU) Early Assessment Program (EAP) Essay, posted January 20, 2009
2. EAP Essay Manual for Test Site Coordinators

STAR Update

Dear Principals and/or STAR Coordinators:
 
The STAR Writing test materials and the Early Assessment Program (EAP) Essay materials have arrived in the district.  They will be delivered via regular truck delivery beginning TODAY, February 19 and should be at all schools by Wednesday, February 25.  Please alert your BSS to the impending arrival of these materials.  If any schools would like to pick up their STAR Writing test materials earlier than their truck delivery day, you must contact Denise Ormsbee at (619) 725-7059 or dormsbee@sandi.net.  PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE IMC WAREHOUSE DIRECTLY.

STAR Update

Dear Principals and/or STAR Site Coordinators:
 
The STAR Writing “Nuts and Bolts” Training Session for Site Test Coordinators is scheduled for Thursday, February 19, 2009 (for schools starting with A-J) and Tuesday, February 24, 2009 (for schools starting with K-Z) at 3:30 p.m. at the Ballard Parent Center.  The Ballard Parent Center is located at 2375 Congress Street, San Diego CA 92110.  Please see the attached flyer.


This session is intended to provide training to STAR Site Test Coordinators relative to the processing of test materials and training of site staff in the administration and security issues of the STAR Writing test (CST & CMA) for Grades 4 and 7.
