STAR Update

Dear Senior High Principals and/or STAR Site Test Coordinators:

Students enrolled in Marine Science this year should take the Earth Science CST during the STAR testing window.  After completing the most recent Marine Science Course Alike pacing guides, the science folks identified that the Earth Science CST is a better fit for students enrolled in Marine Science courses. Therefore, we have revised the 2009 CST Science Matrix (Attachment E) from Administrative Circular 33, Spring 2009 STAR Program Information that was posted on 10/22/08. Please replace the old matrix with the revised one attached to this email.

If you have any questions, please contact Erin Gordon - Director Assessment Services at (619) 725-5687, egordon@sandi.net

Thank you.

STAR Update

Dear STAR Coordinators and/or Principals:

The 2008 California Reports for Teachers (STAR Teacher Reports) are available for pick-up in Annex 10 daily between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The California Report for Teachers present results from the 2008 California Standards Tests (CSTs) for English-Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics in grades 2 through 11, as well as information about the California Content Standards and the Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) Program.  Secondary schools will receive group reports rather than individual teacher reports.

For elementary schools, reports prepared for individual teachers are in sealed envelopes.  The envelopes are to be given to and opened only by the addressee.  If envelopes are received for teachers who are no longer at your school, please return the envelopes to Assessment Services, Annex 3, Attn: Denise Ormsbee.

Please contact Denise Ormsbee at (619) 725-7059,
dormsbee@sandi.net or Erin Gordon at (619) 725-5687, egordon@sandi.net if you have any questions.

Thank you.
