Subject: UCSD tutors for your school
Dear Robert,
Hope all is well!
I am now teaching at UCSD in the Education Studies department.
One of the classes I'll be teaching at UCSD is EDS 136, which is a course that gives undergraduate students an introduction to public secondary schools. Part of the course requires them to tutor at local public secondary schools (4-6 hours/week for 10 weeks in a given quarter).
The tutors come at no cost to your school. They can be tutors or classroom teaching assistants.
Would you mind forwarding the attached Tutor Request Form to your teachers? They can fill it out and get your signature, and then send the form back to me. I need this back by September 15 so that I can properly place the tutors.
Also, who is the central contact person at your school who deals with teaching assistants? I would be more than happy to send her/him a copy of this email.
If anyone has any questions, they can contact me directly.
If you'd like, I would be more than happy to talk to your teachers about this program at one of your staff meetings (I won't take more than 10 mins.)
Thank you again!!! Luz
