Wildcat Community Service Project

Saturday, January 22, 2005

On January 22 over 96 Wangenheim students along with about 50 parents helped beautify the campus. The students and parents, along with many staff members, swept the sidewalks, raked leaves and other debris, and planted gardens. Mrs. Villanueva and the Garden Club planted a beautiful new garden along the sidewalk on Gold Coast Drive. Mrs. Sanders and a group of students planted a garden behind the 400 building. Hungry workers snacked on muffins provided by Souplantation. CJSF sold hot chocolate and coffee.

The students who attended will recieve credit for one community service project. Wangenheim students who hope to earn their Leadership, Character and Service Award are required to do a community service project. (8th graders must do two.)

Thanks to all the students, parents and staff who gave up part of their weekend to help beautify our school. Your hard work is greatly appreciated!
