On Sunday May 7, a group of Wangenheim teachers, students and parents participated in the Union Tribune 8K Race for Literacy. 

Our partner in education, Vulcan Materials Company generously sponsored thirteen students and six teachers, including Ms. Douglas, Ms Fehlhaber, Mrs. Gizzo, Mrs. Hinojosa, Ms. Sander and Mrs. Zelman.  

When the parents heard about the race some of them also decided to join in on the fun.
