Visit to Vulcan on May 14, 2009
posted June 1, 2009

On Thursday, May 14, Mrs. Reilly’s seminar class and Mrs. Ryder’s sixth grade science students attended a field trip to Vulcan Construction Materials on Carroll Canyon Road.  The two buses were guided into the quarry for a tour to teach students about mining.

The Vulcan Company and employees are amazing!  They provided the buses, pizza for lunch, mining hats for all of the students, along with paint and rocks to be painted.  Thank you, Vulcan!
