 The Enrollment Handbook version 5.0 has the most up-to-date information on how to enroll and withdraw students into SDUSD. This version has up-to-date entry and exit codes, program symbols, procedures and screen shots. It is advised that anyone who deals with enrolling students, print a copy of the Enrollment Handbook version 5.0.

Procedures for Enrolling a Student New to the District and procedures for Enrolling a Student From Within the District were updated to demonstrate the new streamlined enrollment process that's implemented with the Zangle 2006.2 update, planned for March 1, 2007. Some other screenshots used in the enrollment process in previous handbook versions were changed in this updated handbook to improve usability. Also, the instructions and explanations for creating a boundary exception were expanded to clarify the use of the Transfer Type and Reason drop-down menus. The instructions for entering California Student Information System (CSIS) information was moved and reorganized to match the order of the required Zangle enrollment steps.

Special Program List screen shot and directions for use were removed because the district no longer asks the user to make those Attendance Category distinctions.

Accordingly, the Program Codes with Wingding Symbols table was reorganized to list the Programs in the order that they appear in the Program drop-down menu in the Program History application instead of grouping them by Attendance Category. Also, this table now has a column that shows whether someone at the site needs to add the program (in Program History) or if the program gets added in Program History by some other means. Next to the Wingding Symbol column, a column was added to show the corresponding symbol that appears in the Macintosh OS X Safari browser. (Please share these two pages with your teachers if they're using Macs.)
