Mark Processing screenshot on page 140 changed to indicate that most schools would choose Summer Final as the Report Point and that choosing the incorrect Report Point would result in marks not posting to history.

Because this handbook is also used for Intersession 1 during the summer by year-round schools, the two groups that were added for these schools by IT to filter students with course requests for the summer and to filter students scheduled for courses during the summer, SICRSREQ and SISTUSCH, are referenced whenever the corresponding summer school groups are discussed.

Page 32 of the handbook describes different scenarios that require a student to be enrolled in summer school. It was discovered that the information described in the fourth scenario was unclear about when to enroll a student into the current T-Track and when to enroll a student into to next year's T-Track as well as wrong about what an IT process would do.

Therefore, the incorrect information needed to be corrected and the unclear information needed to be made clear. To accomplish this, the fourth scenario was broken into two different scenarios (now scenarios four and five) and the IT process described is what actually happens.

Lots of changes throughout document to reflect policy changes for Summer School 2008:

  • Much easier procedure for reporting to Summer School and Special Ed offices the first few days of program.
  • Most high schools offering only one summer session: thus courses lasting only two hours (instead of four) at these schools. Therefore, students could take up to two courses at a time.
  • IT automating program enrollment procedure for grades 1 - 12, but schools need to verify that student in the right program.
  • Retained 8th graders attending summer school for only four hours (not five) this year.
